Trainers and Bios

Brent St. John

Brent’s mission statement is “Fit For Life!” and as such has both Junior Fit and Senior Fit certifications to help you achieve your goals whether you are 8 or 88! Through fun and progressive strength and functional movement patterns you will achieve a sense of confidence and well-being to lead a full and active lifestyle. If you are looking to improve your health, prevent injury or to simply be the best you can be Brent has a program for you!

*Brent is a leader for The Ride to Conquer Cancer charity bicycle ride and is also certified by the Canadian Soccer Association, the United States Soccer Federation and Tennis Canada.

Dan Schafer

Dan is the young, innovative trainer of the group. Being a well rounded athlete, he has a background in training for a variety of sports. Whether you’re training for a specific sport or for overall wellness, Dan will help you achieve results that you never thought were possible. He is always bringing something new and exciting to the gym to spice up your existing exercise routine. As a relentless motivator, Dan will be sure to get the most of out your time together.

Wayne Watson

I am an advocate for the need to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.  As a retired baby boomer I understand all too well that age and cumulative injury can and does affect daily living.  This knowledge, regardless of the age of the client, provides me with the insight on how to design effective programs to suit individual needs.  Retirement has allowed me to pursue Personal Training, passing on my experience in the fitness field and stress coping techniques with others.  I provide instruction to clients on all aspects of fitness including fitness theory, exercise safety, strength training, core stability, and Third Age (seniors and mobility restricted).

John Buxcey

By combining over 30 years of athletic experience and continued learning, my objective is to share with you the most recent scientific evidence-based discoveries.  Your health and fitness is one of the most important facets in your life.  If you want peak performance from your body, the right coach and the right training program will make the difference between success and failure.  I will challenge you and enthusiastically direct you toward your goals!

Kole Magnowski

I have been a competitive athlete for over ten years. My most significant achievements are being named to the Canadian National Waterski Team and becoming the Under 21 World Jump Champion. I attribute my success in skiing to my hard work, dedication and perseverance, which I carry over to all aspects of life. In my spare time I am also an avid mountain biker, surfer, and snow skier. My personal training program consists of strength training, core conditioning, agility, plyometrics, balance, flexibility, pilates, and yoga.   Over the past 5 years I have played a key role in developing a strength and conditioning program for the National Waterski Team. Graduating with a degree in Kinesiology, being a Certified Personal Training Specialist and a background in athletics has given me extensive knowledge of all aspects of fitness training.

I have helped countless people achieve their fitness goals. Whether you are looking to lose weight and tone up or you want to increase strength, power, and agility, I have the knowledge and tools to help you achieve your goals. Designing a program based around your specific needs is important. If your body is imbalanced, I will assess the functionality of it and target different areas to help your body perform better day to day. If you want to lose body fat and gain lean muscle, I can take you through an all encompassing progressive exercise program that will give you the results you want. I have a deep passion for healthy living myself and consider healthy nutrition and exercise essential for a balanced lifestyle. I saw a quote one time that said ‘If you feel good, you look good’ and I believe that with a proper exercise and nutritional program, along with the right type of motivation, you can feel great.
