Carol Hardy, BSc. M.A.

CanFitPro Personal Trainer Specialist

Carol is a newly-certified Personal Trainer with many years of experience in fitness and athletics. Almost without exception, Carol has participated in some sort of physical activity through every stage of her life (cycling, volleyball, field hockey, weight training, squash).  She is also an active volunteer in the community:  founding board member of the Comox Valley branch of Habitat for Humanity, coaching for the past ten years for the Comox Valley Girls’ Field Hockey league, and volunteering her administrative skills with a number of other local organizations.

A significant part of Carol’s motivation for physical activity is her mental health. Carol has battled disordered eating and clinical depression in her life. She has come through those experiences with a renewed understanding of how physical health can impact mental health for the better. Carol wants to share her passion for healthier living with others. She is a very organized, goal-oriented person who can help you set goals and find the motivation and methods to achieve them.

Hello my name is Shannon Myers, I was born and raised in Sussex, New Brunswick and went to University in Fredericton, NB and lived there for 15 years!!! I moved to Comox Valley in December 2013.  I have always been athletic by nature, playing soccer competitively for over 15 years.  After University, when my competitive soccer days were over, I discovered how much I love the gym and weight training…I first became a Fitness Instructor in 2005, then a personal trainer in 2008. I trained and taught fitness classes at the YMCA until leaving Fredericton in late 2013.  I came to teach at VI Fitness in January 2014.  I have now decided to get back into Personal Training and could not be more excited.

I have trained athletes, people recovering from injury, people looking to lose a little (or a lot of weight), newcomers to fitness…but my passion is just to get people moving.  I take a functional, athletic approach to fitness and would love to help you find a love for health & fitness.

Paula has always lived a healthy, active lifestyle. She excelled as an athlete when she was a teenager/ young adult, and fitness has now become her passion. My goal as your trainer will be to make you feel stronger, confident, and more energized. I will help you invest in your future by staying healthy and fit. Paula is determined and inspired to educate, empower, and motivate her clients through physical fitness. She believes in fun, rewarding fitness experiences that allow our bodies to feel strong. Physically, emotionally, and socially.
